This is the debut release from Marcus Lavie on Maquette Recordings, available on all major digital and streaming platforms on 22/03/2019.

‘Swansong’ is a series of stripped, feral jams, drawn from sessions recorded over a series of nights alone on a decaying rural industrial park, WW2 refugee ghosts stalking the encroaching woodland.

Lavie’s restless sequencing of drums, oscillators and keys functions as ritual music for this corroded landscape’s witching hour. Electronic evocations of cold war man-machine funk, Detroit futurism, post-rock drumming and British rural electronica are broken down and fed into overturned silos, through dark pines, across fractals of the unconscious, and are then reassembled into mutant percussive structures.
